Kiwi Landing Pad is the host for NZICT who are taking up to 20 early to mid stage Kiwi technology companies to San Francisco and Silicon Valley for a week of targeted events, learning and networking for a week in mid July. Designed to coincide with the Americas Cup racing calendar, the first trip is specifically for market-entry companies to the USA. A second trip will be held in mid September, targeted for larger companies already in the market or having a presence in the USA and interested in hosting and later round investment opportunities, including an investment showcase day.
It’s widely known that Silicon Valley is the largest tech hub in the world, and has a concentrated start-up community, as well as large base of established companies and investor networks. Experiencing the business practices and culture of the area first hand is crucial to the development of any tech company. It gives you the opportunity to learn about the market you will be selling to, talk to Kiwi companies who have ‘been there, done that’ in the area and get a taste of what it really takes to successfully secure investment funds from the region – you may be surprised!
